Customer Reviews Great support - for as long as the velcro holds out. -- 2010-08-04 I'm on my 4th pair of these inside of a year. I love the support, and these straps are comfortable, even when wrapped very tightly. My problem with them is their longevity. The cheap velcro closures tend to fall apart even after only a few weeks of regular use, rendering the wraps completely useless. This deterioration is hastened by any attempt to wash them. The plastic hooks of the velcro just break off and leave very little clinginess to the closure.
I work out every day, and lift, using these straps, at least 3 days per week. While I love the feel of them, I hate that I have to replace them every couple of months. It seems that using a higher quality velcro closure in the manufacture of these straps would solve the problem, and eleven or twelve dollars plus tax and shipping is just too much money for a product with such a limited shelf life IMO.
I have given a 3-star rating however, because everything else about them is great, and I will continue to use them until I can find a more durable replacement that meets my needs.
good support -- 2010-06-26 for that price awesome product, gives a lot of support, i use it for playing badminton and my smashes are at leaset 10-15% stronger!
Excellent Support. Great fitting. Helps with wrist stabilizing while bench pressing. -- 2010-06-03 I bought this because I felt that I needed more wrist support while bench pressing. Didn't find lot of reviews on this product on Amazon or on the internet. Took a chance and I am super glad I did.
The price is very reasonable!!!
I've been using Harbinger's gloves while doing bench presses ([...]), but that glove didn't give me much wrist support. I weigh 138 pounds (5 ft 8 inches) and once I started bench pressing about 185 pounds, I really needed some serious wrist support because I had a feeling that I am seriously straining my wrist.
The wrist wrap is very plain and simple (Stylish I might even say!). It wraps around my wrist about once (maybe 1.5). One important thing I would like to say is that the picture does not include this thing that's attached to the wrap... it's like a rubber band that goes around your thumb that secures and makes it easy for you to wrap it around your wrist.
I used it for one day (I used it the day I got it), but it made me feel more confident to bench press heavier weights. Before I would be scared that I would injure my wrist, but with these on you feel more confident.
Seriously recommend these to anyone who cares about safety and better exercising.
A little extra support, comfort, and confidence -- 2010-05-23 Wrist wraps won't make a weak person strong, but they certainly help lifters with either a little bit of wrist strain and/or lacking confidence with the heavier lifts (like heavy negatives on the barbell bench press) gain a little extra protection and edge. I like having these available, and I certainly feel as though they help me get through select lifts with that little extra support.
Good support! -- 2009-04-25 These wrist wraps are great! I was getting tired of taping my wrists everyday before training - these are easy to use and very comfortable! So glad to have found them!
