Customer Reviews Great tool to help with tough lifts -- 2010-07-27 This is the second type of lifting strap I've used, and it is far better than the first. Bascially, lifting straps help alleviate your grip while lifting heavy weights on certain exercises. For me, this was important because my grip was limiting my ability to do super heavy walking lunges, RDLs, barbell rows, horizontal pullups, etc. I'm training for specific strength and athletic goals, and don't care about having massive grip strength. In short, you don't want your grip to limit development of more important muscles, or to keep you from moving up in weight. These straps help out a lot, and are much better than the standard straps. The price is great as well.
High Quality -- 2010-06-10 These lifting straps are very helpful when you have trouble holding on to the barbells and dumbbells. The straps are relatively comfortable (considering the straps are holding a lot of weight) But after the first set it starts to wear at your skin, though the padding does help, and there is a little piece of nylon that jabs my wrist but you can cut that off, and after use for a while they start to soften up and contour to your wrist.
In summary I like these lifting straps a lot, and for the price you cant beat'em. (You can get them at your local dicks sportinggoods for the same price) But if you want to spring the extra 12 dollars or so for the fancy neoprune ones be my guest.
