good product -- 2010-04-02
a 4 inch wide belt that is 4 inch all the way around is perfect for weightlifting. This belt is 10mm thick, leather and has 2 prongs in the buckle. the product description says that it is single prong, the photo is double prong, the sales lady emailed me saying that it is single prong but thats not what i got. I am still happy with the double prong though, but it makes it slightly harder to get on and off during workouts. When you just did a heavy set, it can be annoying.
The leather is made up of 3 layers glued and stitched together. I have used it for 4 months now and no visible wear and tear yet. Looks like it will last me a few years.
A suggestion for buyers is to break in the belt in the initial week so that it conforms to your waist that much better.
Belt is definitely a good piece of equipment to use in the weight room. This one is inexpensive and exactly what is required. Good value.
PS - Seems like Ader Sporting now has edited the description and it says "double prong". Thanks for listening to your customers.
Heck of a difference -- 2009-12-24
The difference a pro quality belt makes is unbelievable. The additional pressure and support given by the 4" belt all the way around is outstanding. I definitely noticed the loads I was lifting were just that tiny bit easier--that bit that will allow you to DL/squat your PR. It is NOT the same a belt with a 2" front and 4" back piece.
The quality of the product is great. This thing is indestructable.
